Un orangután se enfrentó a una excavadora que destruía su hogar (video)

Un orangután camina por encima del tronco de un árbol. Se dirige hacia una excavadora que tala los árboles de su hábitat natural en Indonesia. Al enfrentarse a la máquina, se cae al suelo. El paisaje es desolador. Su hábitat está completamente destrozado y el animal trata de buscar un refugio. Estas duras imágenes forman parte de un vídeo grabado en 2013 y publicado en Facebook el pasado martes por la organización International Animal Rescue, reseña El País.

“Este orangután desesperado busca frenéticamente refugio ante el poder destructivo de la excavadora, una máquina que ya ha diezmado todo lo que le rodea”, afirma la organización en la red social. La entidad, que finalmente consiguió rescatar al orangután, alerta en su página web de que los animales en Indonesia sufren y se mueren por la destrucción de la selva. La tala de árboles tiene como objetivo principal la producción de aceite de palma.
